Root Canal Treatment in Parker

Root canal treatment is recommended when

  • A cavity has gone deep into the tooth and has reached the nerve chamber
  • A crack in the tooth that has reached the nerve chamber
  • There is an infection at the end of the root of the tooth
  • There has been trauma to the tooth causing the nerve to become exposed and/or permanently inflamed

Common symptoms that may mean you need a root canal

  • Sensitivity to hot or cold
  • Persistant pain, dull ache
  • Pain when biting and/or chewing
  • Dark discoloration of the tooth
  • Deep cavity
  • Swelling and/or drainage

Not all teeth that need root canals may be symptomatic. Sometimes a patient feels like nothing is wrong at all. However, an infection can become symptomatic at any time. It is important to maintain regular visits with your dentist to prevent the need for a root canal. However, sometimes accidents happen and you should call your dentist immediately to prevent any further damage to the teeth
